Stand Up for Jamaica is a non-profit organization that provides rehabilitative services through education, skills training and psychological services to the men and women of our island’s correctional institutions.
We are currently seeking a qualified CSEC PRINCIPLE OF BUSINESS High School teacher to join our team. The position will fall under our current partnership with the European Union, and involves teaching persons between the ages of 18 to 60. The individual must be:
Highly self-motivated, with a keen interest in encouraging students in excelling in the subject area
Able to provide semi-annual narrative reports that should include quantitative and qualitative data on students’ progress, grades, successes, challenges faced in the program and proposals for combating issues faced
Be a keen listener with the ability to reach students using varying methods of teaching
Hold at least a Diploma in teaching
Have at least two years teaching experience at high school level
